The Bryst Football Academy vision is to inspire people to their full potential and to “Dream, Believe, Achieve.”

About Bryst: A Brief History

BRYST International was founded by Gary and Cindy Miller.  It was initially created in 1996 to provide a professional training and educational environment for elite soccer coaches through exposure to top level international coaches.  Bryst hosted International Coaching Clinics in Toronto, Ontario, involving coaches such as Frans Hoek (Manchester United FC, FC Barcelona, FC Bayern Munich, AFC Ajax), Gerrard Houllier (Liverpool FC, France FF, Olympique Lyonnais, Aston Villa FC), Craig Brown (Scottish FA), and Holger Osieck (Canadian National Team, Australian National Team).

By 1998, Bryst had expanded to include Elite Player training programs, both indoors and outdoors, with high level coaching staff, to supplement club activities for players who were interested in developing themselves to a higher level.

In 2005, Bryst expanded to a full time Academy Teams Program with male and female teams, ages 8-21.  Bryst became a founding member of the Soccer Academy Alliance Canada (SAAC) in 2005.  This standards-based league allowed Bryst players to compete with other academies in league and cup play, where the focus is on the technical development of the individual.  Since then, SAAC has expanded to include about 20 academies.

In 2011, Bryst President, Gary Miller, was invited onto the Ontario Soccer Association’s Technical Advisory Council (TAC).  His role was to pioneer the Ontario Player Development League (OPDL) as part of the re-structuring of Ontario youth soccer.

In 2013, Bryst was part of the Ontario Soccer Association team that designed and developed the new provincial soccer curriculum based on Long Term Player Development.  With OSA learning facilitators on staff, Bryst is a leader in soccer coaching and player development.

On September 25, 2018 Bryst was sold to John and Belinda Paolucci, former customers of Bryst. The new company name is now Bryst Football Academy Inc.

Under the new ownership of John and Belinda Paolucci, Bryst Football Academy will bridge its pioneering vision of inspiring youth with an evolving culture of high performance to realize one’s full potential. The approach is to deliver a consistent high quality environment that is designed and adapted to meet the needs of all players and skill levels.

John and Belinda Paolucci have embarked on the Bryst journey to expand the success of its players and teams in an evolving and exciting soccer landscape. The new Canada Soccer Club Licencing Program is the vision for soccer in Canada and Bryst is currently well positioned to align closely with new and high standards that have been set.

John and Belinda Paolucci have a life-long passion for children, youth sport and athletics. As a married couple with three children they decided to depart from their careers in the Public Sector and pursue their passion for youth and sport in the form of Bryst Football Academy. “Our promise to the Bryst family including players, coaches, administrators and parents is to foster a culture of a high quality learning environment to inspire confidence and success. Dream, Believe, Achieve”
